Canadian Kitty

Our Bobble is about to become a Canadian citizen. He is going to live with our friend Joe's mom in Canada. We are glad he will be getting a loving home and we will still have a chance to visit him if the kids wish.  Since all of the Autism/ADHD has hit our family we haven't had much time for Bobble. He is a great cat and I just couldn't send him to the pound. I feel much better about this situation. I know Heather will spoil him to death. :)  Have fun Bobble we love you! Don't forget to watch "Corner Gas"!!

I'm glad you found him a good home to go to. I'm sure it'll be hard to see him go, but good to know he'll be loved.

And *I* am glad that his new home is one where *I* can visit him!!

(Yes, I really am that selfish sometimes...he's a fantastic cat!!)

I'm sure you realize,, but I have to say anyway, that my selfish happiness that I will still be able to see him does *not* go so far as to not be sad for everyone at Chez Rakowski, including Bobble himself, that the move has to happen. But I know you guys have been looking at this possibility for a while, and he is a great cat, and Heather will love him to bits.

Beautiful Bobble is now a Canadian kitty...I told him we could get him some Timbits and a double-double... :-)

Right now he is hiding in the basement (shh, don't tell Lauren!), but he is going to be very happy here once he adjusts. :-)

I am glad he is going to be happy there. Let us know how he has adjusted. I have a few more things that either you or Heather can have. Some more cat food dishes along with the ones we are already giving to Heather, and some cat litter box liners. Let me know.

Just a quick update...

Bobble is really enjoying being at Chez Mere de Canuque. He likes to demand lap time from Canuck, and demand pets from anyone who will oblige him. He has also taken to cat treats and nip like...well, like you wouldn't believe! And Mere de Canuque has set up some big squooshy Wal-Mart cushions in some of the best perches, so he spends a LOT of time snuggled in those and looking out the windows to watch the world go by.

He's even adjusted well to Max, the miniature Dachshund that MdC brought home about a month after Bobble came to live there. Max does tease and chase him a little, but I have seen Bobble sneak up and swat Max's legs or butt to provoke him - last weekend I was standing in the bathroom with Max watching me intently, and Bobble actually snuck up and swatted him not once, but TWICE before Max turned around and chased him. Suggests to me Bobble is enjoying the "play" too...

My only concern now is how Bobble will react when Canuck moves to the States; but he's adjusted so well to the change of house, people, and the addition of the dog, that I'm quite sure he'll quickly adapt. And MdC loooves to spoil pets, so I'm sure he will continue to be a very, very happy kitty. :-)
